As fall semester approaches and we enthusiastically await the return of students and faculty to campus, our team has been reflecting on our first few months open and how proud we are to be located in one of the best college towns in America. Named number six on MSN’s list earlier in 2014, the site notes that “there just isn’t another university setting like Pullman in the Pac 12. Home to Washington State University, this eastern Washington city of 25,000 people is more characteristic of the Big 10 Conference; the land-grant school occupies one-third of its town and is set in an agricultural landscape that spans as far as former Pullman High School star John Elway could throw the pigskin.” And that is just the beginning.
The article goes on to state that “cultural offerings also spread wide as the native Palouse grasslands, as audiences at the Jones Theatre can contemplate John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men” just a few days after laughing along with “Cowboy Poet” Baxter Black. Popular Swilly’s, South Fork Public House and The Black Cypress serve American cuisine that satisfies both theater and football fans”. So what are you waiting for? Come visit us on the campus of WSU and catch an exciting Coug game!
